FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible with our booking process. If you can’t find the answer to your question below, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • We felt we had to list on Airbnb and other holiday home sites but we'd much rather deal directly with you, our guests. By cutting out the middleman we can offer lower costs.

Unlike other websites, we've made a point of not adding on costs at checkout. What you see as the nightly rent will not change as you go through the booking process.

  • You are able to cancel your stay with a complete refund up until 56 days before staying with us.

Less than 56 days but more than 1 week prior to the Check-in date; we will refund 60% of paid monies, subject to a small handling fee.

Less than 1 week prior to Check-in date; we will return 100% of the booking fee. You will be liable for any balance outstanding.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance at the time of making the Booking with cancellation cover.

Please see our Terms and Conditions regarding cancellations, essentially the earlier you inform us the better.

  • We couldn't find the exact slope angle of The Chines path online (if you happen to find it would you mind letting us know). It is reasonably steep but with a relatively grippy tarmac surface. It's not particularly scientific but our two year boy and 86 year old gran are capable of walking it. There is no issue with wheelchair / pram access.

If you're not comfortable taking The Chines footpath to the beach, a short walk out of Burlington Road, heading towards town, will let you double-back and walk along the flat path that runs parallel with the sea to the bottom of the Chines.

  • If you step it out you'll be able to make it into town in less than ten minutes. A more leisurely pace will see you there in fifteen minutes.

We tend to amble into town via The Chines footpath so we can stroll along the seafront and take in the picture-postcard views of the town.

  • To ensure we can satisfy our cleaning and maintenance commitments we do ask that you honour the times stipulated at booking.

However, we will try and be flexible if at all possible, please let us know early if you are having trouble making the times work for you.

  • Absolutely, all we ask is that the apartment is left as you found it and our neighbours are not disturbed. Parties are not permitted.

  • As landlords we pride ourselves on providing you with a functional but most importantly safe place to stay. Prior to your arrival the apartment will have been cleaned and inspected. On arrival if you find anything is amiss, please let us know immediately.

If something goes wrong during your stay, please prioritise your safety and, if necessary, please inform the emergency services on 999.

For all non-emergencies, please contact us at your convenience and we will resolve the issue (our details will be provided after booking).

  • There are, of course recycling collection points all over town. Disappointingly the building's recycling bins were being misused by non-residents disposing their rubbish when leaving the beach. As a result, the committee voted to provide only a single bin that's located in the car park.

  • COVID-19 is currently affecting local amenities. When safe and you're able to do so, the Grand Hotel- 30 sec walk away - has a gym and swimming pool to use for a small fee.
